akira

I did this photoshoot the other day with my gorgeous cousin Akira. It was so much fun to work with the water and the pool surroundings in my aunt/uncle’s backyard. I love the colors and subtle light leaks in these film images…hope you enjoy them too!

Alejandro in black and white

I have done a couple shoots with Alejandro while in San Diego this summer and I wanted to share a few on the blog today. I love these black and whites! Alejandro is the man behind Adentro Syle and is very talented…you should check him out!

Afternoon walk by the bay

My brother, sister-in-law, and niece came over today and after eating some fish tacos(YUM) that my mother made, we decided to go for a walk up to the water. I grabbed my camera and ended up taking quite a few photos…can you blame me?! SHE IS SO CUTE!!!! anyways, I thought I would share…hope you enjoy them as much as i do!

Stacie and Paco: Engaged!

Stacie and Paco!! What a great couple…they are so full of life and love for each other. I am so lucky that I was able to document this time in their lives! It was a wonderful afternoon the day of our session and we took full advantage of it by walking by the water and around the streets of downtown Annapolis. We even did some salsa dancing 🙂 We finished up the day at El Torro Bravo, a fantastic mexican restaurant in downtown, where Stacie and Paco are regulars. We enjoyed some tasty food and margaritas (excluding me ha) and all in all had a great time! Thank you so much Stacie and Paco…and I wish you all the best as you continue to get ready for your wedding!

bokeh lovin’

I came across this camera technique called free lensing…It’s where you take a photo with the lens detached from your camera and essentially hold it up in front and tilt the lens for different effects. It makes pictures have very soft focus (bokeh). I took some of these shots today…and it was super exciting to see the results.

Jasmine Star: The Fix

A couple of weeks ago I attended The Fix workshop with my beautiful and talented friend, who also happens to be a photog. The Fix was a photography workshop focusing on identifying weaknesses in your business, maximizing entrepreneurial strengths, and getting out of your comfort zone by making friends and creating meaningful connections. I have followed Jasmine Star’s blog for 4 years now so meeting her was really special…and also sort of weird. ha ha its odd to know so much about a person and they not even know your name…ohh the internet! Meeting Jasmine in person definitely exceeded my expectations of what I already knew about her…She really does have a magnetic personality and is so easy to relate to! If you haven’t read her blog before..you should..she is hilarious. All in all it was a great night filled with lots of inspiration for my business and future ventures in the photography field. Here are some of the photos!

Polo!!! Jasmine and JD’s adorable dog…we were walking to the metro at the end of the night and spotted him sitting in the drivers seat in the tour bus!

Jean at the bay

Today, Jean came over to my neck of the woods and we had a lovely time shooting by the water. She was nice enough to come and model for me in the cold weather and obviously was a great at it…isn’t she gorgeous?! It was an overcast and grey sort of day… but, we made the best of it!

Jean, it was so great catching up with you.. hope you enjoy the photos!
